Photo Guidelines

Choosing the right photo is the best way to ensure that your pet portrait turns out exactly as you'd hope. Please follow the guidelines below to get the best possible result.

Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions, and don't forget to check out the Examples page for portrait inspiration.

Our goal is to create a portrait that closely resembles the photo that you provide.

Good:

  • High-quality, high-definition photo
  • Clear headshot-style photo taken directly at eye level
  • No distracting items (e.g. bulky collars, harnesses, toys, etc.)
  • Even, consistent lighting with true-to-life colors of your pet

We want you to receive your new pet portrait as soon as possible. To avoid order processing delays, please avoid choosing a photo that doesn't fully showcase your pet.

Bad:

  • Grainy, low-quality photos
  • Inconsistent lighting (i.e. blown-out areas with too much light, undesirable shadows, etc.)
  • Objects blocking head and neck areas
  • Pet not looking into the camera
